Uganda’s oldest woman called Furitinante Kirihona Kuriku has died peacefully in her home located in Rukiri, Ibanda district. And she died aged 110 Years and the burial is tomorrow Tuesday in Mabonwa, Rukiri Ibanda.
Furitinante Kirihona Kuriku was married to Kyamakoto Thomas and was born in the very early 19s and specifically she was born ON 15.03.1914 and all her records were verified 30 years ago when she was still able to help trace her year of birth.
She lost her husband Kyamakoto Thomas on 17/10/1986 and by the time of her death, Furitinante Kirihona Kuriku the oldest woman in Uganda, she was a happy woman who had grandchildren up to the 4th generation. And records have it that, she left a total of 300 grandchildren.
She gave birth to Seven (7) children, and only three are still alive, with the latest that died on Friday this week two days before Furitinante Kirihona Kuriku died. Her first generation of grandchildren has 70.
Second generation of great grand children has 192 children, Third generation has 30 children, and 4th generation has 8 children. She died on 28/04/2024 without any cause of death, family says she died peacefully at her home.
